In other XenZone courses, we talked about FM budgets and how to manage them. But there will come a point in your career (you may already be there) where you will be responsible for setting the FM budget. This may sound intimidating at first, but there are plenty of techniques and strategies to adopt when setting budgets and this course will introduce you to them.

About this course

This course will introduce you to the different methods of setting both OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including Historical/Incremental budgets, Zero-based budgets and rolling budgets. We’ll look at the pros and cons of each method of budgeting and also consider situations where we may use more than one of these methods. In addition, we’ll examine the different types of costs that you will need to account for, as well as giving an account of how to bring it all together. As a special treat, we’ll give you a few additional tools that can help you in setting your budgets.

By the end of this course, you’ll have a good understanding of the different budgeting methods, when to use them and how to pull it all together.
