You may have heard these terms before. You may even have a vague idea of what they are. But by completing this course, you’ll develop a cast iron understanding of the differences between them, as well as understanding how the lines can sometimes be blurred. You’ll also get an idea for the full gamut of individual services that may fall under the remit of FM – and there are a lot of them!
About this course
In this course, we’ll take a look at the huge number of services that can sit under facilities and examine how they are categorised. You’ll learn the difference between hard services, soft services and technical/specialist services as well as where they can cross over and where there are grey areas.
The distinction between these terms is important to understand as it comes up all over the place in facilities management. If you want to focus on soft services, for example, you need to know what that involves so that you don’t accidentally end up in a hard services FM job!
