Facilities Management is universal. If you have premises, you need facilities management – even if you don’t realise it. But although the need for FM and the basic services we offer is similar across the board, there are some stark differences between FM in the private, public and not-for-profit sector.
About this course
This course will examine the differences between facilities management in the three major sectors of the economy. The types of services FM can offer and the level of service you can pay for, can vary widely and we’re going to look at the reasons why – clue: it’s all about the money – or rather where the money comes from.
The difference between the sectors is a key distinction to make, as you may find yourself working across various sectors throughout your career, or you may work for an FM service provider and need to offer different approaches depending on the sector that your client belongs to.
