Let’s face it, if you work within facilities management, even at the most junior level, you’re going to have some kind of interaction with budgets (even if it’s just being told ‘we don’t have the budget for that’).

It’s therefore crucial to understand exactly what a budget is, what are the different types of budget that you may encounter and how to work effectively within a set budget.

About this course

This course will explain what we mean by a budget, the difference between operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) and what type of items should be assigned to what type of budget. We’ll also take a brief look at forecasts, how they differ from budgets and how to use each one.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a better understanding of financial budgets and how to work with them.
