Identifying Your Client, your Customer and Other Stakeholders

Great Facilities Management isn’t just about ticking boxes for the person who pays the bill — it’s about understanding the very different people who commission, use and are impacted by your service, and knowing how to keep them all satisfied.

Understanding FM Support Services Operations

Courses are held in Leeds and Manchester.

  • Next Course Date: TBC

This course will consider the difference between the Client, the Customer and other Stakeholders who can affect or be affected by Facilities Management Service Delivery.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain what is meant by a Stakeholder

  • Identify examples of stakeholders relevant to your organisation

  • Explain the difference between the Client, the Customer and the User

  • Explain how to identify the Facilities Management needs of the Client and the Customer

  • Explain how to evaluate Client and Customer satisfaction with Facilities Management services

This course is aimed at people already working within Facilities Management operations, who want to consolidate their knowledge and understand the importance of meeting Client and Customer needs and building relationships with other stakeholders

It’s great for aspiring managers with existing, practical FM skills who are looking to take the next step, or for people with experience in related industries who are looking to move into an FM role.

It’s also ideal for those who are studying for their IWFM Level 3 or 4 qualifications, perhaps by distance learning, who would like some face-to-face tuition to support their studies.

Although this course is open for anyone to attend and is not assessed, the content has been developed in line with elements from the IWFM qualifications at Levels 3, 4, and includes content relevant to the following units:

FM3.03 Customer and Stakeholder Relations in Facilities Management
FM4.04 Facilities Management Support Service Operations
FM4.15 Understanding Customer Service in Facilities Management

This makes it ideal for IWFM qualification learners who are looking to support their studies with face-to-face tuition.
