What is the Qual-in-a-Week®?
The IWFM Qual-in-a-Week®, is a unique course which will allow you to achieve an IWFM Level 4 Award in Facilities Management – including all tuition and assessment – in just a single week.

Why does this course exist?
We know that balancing study with work, family and other commitments can be a challenge.
Often, it can take much longer to complete a course than anticipated, if you even finish at all!
So, we developed the Qual-in-a-Week® – an intensive in-person training course designed to give learners the opportunity to take a week out of the office, away from all distractions, and complete all of the work necessary to gain their qualification.

How does it work?
The course will consist of 5 days of highly interactive workshops, led by one of our expert tutors. All of whom are experienced facilities managers in their own right, who have gone through extensive training to be certified as a Xenon tutor.
The course will include a mix of tuition, discussion and activities.
At various points you’ll have the chance to apply what you’re learning with a variety of exercises, some of which will count towards your final assessment.
We’ll help you consider what you’re learning in the context of your own organisation, so you can improve your approach as soon as you return to work.

What do I get out of it?

What’s covered
We’ll work through all the material needed to achieve an IWFM Level 4 Award in Facilities Management.
Specifically, you’ll cover the following two units from the qualification:
- FM4.01 An Overview of Facilities Management
- FM4.04 Understanding Support Services Operations
You’ll learn about both the day-to-day delivery of facilities management as well as where it fits in the bigger picture of business and society.
You’ll cover health & safety, budgeting, contract management and customer service, all the time considering the impact they have on both the facilities function and the wider organisation.
