Why does this course exist?
Over the last decade, we’ve helped over 1,000 Facilities Managers achieve their IWFM Qualifications. And one of the biggest challenges they face is balancing study with work, family and other commitments.
This means that many of them take much longer to complete the course than they anticipated, and some don’t even finish at all.
We wanted to address this, so we developed the Qual-in-a-Week® – an intensive course designed to give learners the opportunity to take a week out of the office, away from all other distractions, and complete all of the work necessary to gain their qualification.

How does it work?
The course will consist of 5 days of highly interactive workshops, led by one of our expert tutors, all of whom are experienced facilities managers in their own right and who have themselves gone through an extensive training programme in order to be certified as a Xenon tutor.
The course will include a mix of tuition, discussion and activities. At various points you’ll have the chance to apply what you’re learning with a variety of exercises, some of which will count towards your final assessment.
We’ll constantly be helping you to think about what you’re learning in the context of your own organisation so you can start improving the way you do things as soon as you return to work.
And one more thing – there will be some homework to complete each day. We know that can be tough after a whole day of learning, but this is an intensive course after all! Remember – nothing is worth doing if it’s easy and a bit of homework is a great way to consolidate your newfound knowledge.

What do I get out of it?
As well as a wealth of newfound knowledge that you can apply directly to your job, you’ll come away having completed all of the tuition and assessment for an IWFM Level 4 Award in Facilities Management.
Subject to verification by IWFM, you’ll receive your certificate and you’ll be able to count yourself as a fully qualified, professional facilities manager.
There is no other place in the world in which you can gain an IWFM Qualification so quickly.
When is the next course?
The Qual-in-a-Week® is run on a demand-led basis, so once we’ve got enough people interested to make a viable course, we’ll arrange some dates and invite anyone who is interested to enrol.
